Another Chaos Organized!

Scrappers are a bunch of chaotic minds. when we manage to eventually organize them, we actually produce some nice things. When we don't, heck, we create pretty chaos anyway :)

Another journey album. Lots of hidden tags containing lots of photos and real time journals. I kept an acid-free notebook with me during the travel, jotted down everything I could remember before closing the day. A very convenient way of journaling since all i had to do is slipping the notebook pages anywhere in the album, and voila.. an authentic story. Journaling done, top notch.

I didn't take photos of all the album pages. As always, too many, too thick, too much. Meet me for a late lunch or afternoon tea, I'll bring the album. And we can talk about the purple sky.

I hope these are sufficient to give you the idea of the album. Click on the photos to bring you to the larger ones for detail viewing. Ask me anything, I'll surely answer with butterfly in my stomach.

Enjoy :)

The School of Essential Ingredients

Kelas Memasak LilianKelas Memasak Lilian by Erica Bauermeister

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beautiful, beautiful story and words. Even with the lousy Bahasa translation it couldn't help but shining, ..and deliciously dripping :)

The plot was not uncommon, when it told you about the life of every student, how they couped with their own sadness, lost, and how the effect of essential ingredients took them into memories they'd been avoiding, being kept forever in a deep dark bottom closet of mind. The smell, the touch, the aroma they experienced in Lillian's classes and her unusual no-recipe teaching method brought them to face their fears and gave them back hope, excitement, contentment. It went back and forth from classroom to memory, to classroom again, and so forth, weaving the storyline with beautiful words of expressions i love so much.

Very worth reading. A must-read for food lovers, must-have for bakers and culinary enthusiasts, a must-must for me, who hasn't fully recovered from the last 2 months slavery.

I just wished Bentang Publisher would revise the translation. I will do it for half-price, you know, for the love of baking :)
