PTD: Istana Negara - PTD Tanpa Foto

PLESIRAN TEMPO DOELOE:
Hotel Des Indes - Kanaal Molenvliet - Harmonie - Istana Presiden

sayang kudateng sendirian

Se-sloki whisky kuteguk nikmat
di salonnya Hotel Des Indes

Jiffest: Muallaf

I cried twice during the movie, simply because I connected easily with the problems, as I'm pretty sure many people did.

See you on the next film festival. Yea, you :)

Jiffest: "99% Honest" and "Coffe and Allah"

What a beautiful, soulful, groovy documentary. You only wished a documentary could be this enjoyable.

A documentary about United Minorities, a hip hop group in Norway. The film focused on 4 youngsters: Amina (Uganda), Assad (Pakistan), Haji (Iraq) and Emir (Bosnia). They got what it takes: talent, dedication, brain, maturity, and... Islam.

Beautiful music, beautiful voice.
Highly recommended.

"Coffee and Allah" was an elegant short story with a charming ending: a cup of coffee whose froth spelled "Allah". How can it go wrong.

Film Info:

99% Honest (99% Aerlig)

Synopsis:
Emir, Amina, Haji and Assad are all members of the hip hop group Forente Minoriteter (United Minorities). The film follows them through their musical process, with its ups and downs. The film crew has followed the band for two years, resulting in an intimate encounter with some very charming and open young people. They are all different but still find common ground through their passion for music and, not…

Jiffest: The Damned United

The story was about Brian Clogh, manager of Derby County who had this vendetta against Don Revie, manager of Leeds United, that drove him to bring the club from the bottom of second division up to beat the Leeds, which was on top of first division.

Even I, a non-football person, was having a great time watching this movie. It was a great movie, beautiful pictures frame-by-frame, telling the story in a non-Hollywood style which I like, in full British accent without subtitle. Perfect.

Amust-see for football maniacs. A must-have for movie collectors. A must-must for people like me, who simply needs a break from everything :)

Top notch, highly recommended. Go see it. Blame me if you don't like it.
