4 yang Selingkuh

...
Liburan kemarin menyisakan banyak cerita. Termasuk cerita sakit gigi, kamera andalan rusak (jatuh di Ice World! Huaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!), keponakan punya pacar baru, hingga yang menyedihkan seperti teman sekolah Anya yang sering dipukul ibunya. Termasuk juga, tentang 4 perselingkuhan.

Telinga saya langsung tegak. Ada apa nih? Kok pake nauzubillahi min zalik segala sih mpok gue ini ngobrol di telpon. Udahannya langsung saya todong. Pengen tauuuu aja..

"Tommy, suaminya Alin, selingkuh!"
"Na uzubillahi min zalik...," nah jadinya saya nyebut juga. "Ketauannya gimana?"
"Si Nia keceplosan (Nia kakaknya Alin)," kakak saya langsung ambil posisi curhat. "Kan lagi pada ngumpul makan niiiih.. berlima di Plaza Senayan."

Surabaya 2006

Perfect time to get away from my routines. Had a blast with my nephews, nieces, sister, and in-laws. Catching up, exchanging stories, visiting cool places, going to the spa, eating out, shopping, going to the movie, swimming, and planning for the next vacation. South Africa World Cup 2010? New Zealand's Lord of the Ring tour? Or South-east Asia cruise? Let's save up, sisters!

It's the China Town that turns into a spacy outdoor eating place at night, with fortune tellers, souvenir stalls and people selling chinese gizmoz all around the place.

Bought this pendant necklace there. The seller said the word means "lucky". Anybody can confirm that to me?

They're Tearing It Down

...

...now we can't even remember why we sold the house in the first place...
Finally, someone else is tearing down the house.

About a week ago, me, my big sister, Ahmad my nephew, Anya my niece, our maid, and 2 of my inlaws drove by the house. Some relative told us, apparently someone finally bought the house, tore it down and is building on the lot.

We stopped our car across the street and saw our used-to-be house was gone. We could see some workers were working on a new building.

When we found out that the house was being re-offered (readAnehandMakin Aneh), I was hoping nobody would buy the house until finally someone in my family can afford to buy it back. But now the hope seems to be drifting away. When the new building is finished, we have to be a giant billionaire to be able to afford such perfect lot.

Now we can't even remember why we sold the house in the first place.

My sister finally broke the silent,"Gue harap skenarionya kelak akan gini nih: Wida pulang ke Indonesia…
